The chorus sing that they have compassion even for Aegisthus and Clytaemestra. Still, Orestes is alive and Justice, as ever, has triumphed, and these are the best possible developments. The curse on the House of Atreus will be lifted at last. All is well now. The forces of evil have been defeated by Justice and its agent, Time.
